Role Summary
Hazelfern Talent Partners is working with one of our Global manufacturers of premium quality retail fixture systems, who is highly experienced in retail construction and is a distinguished provider of maintenance and services for the retail sector. With an ever-growing portfolio of global and international brands they are perfectly positioned to partner in global retail expansion with products and services delivered in the USA and China. Th company has been around for thirty-five years and has operations in seven countries on 3 continents, dedicated to the design, manufacture and implementations of some of the best spaces in the world.
The Procurement / Buyer will be responsible for managing the company’s supply of products and services. This position provides subject matter expertise and is a source of knowledge for assigned categories, supplier cost improvement/reductions and new product related tasks. Your goal is to ensure a database of potential suppliers exists and cultivate working relationships to ease the process of acquiring materials and/or services that ensure on time delivery of new product introduction within the company’s budget.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in aerospace or large-scale store fixture manufacturing.
Compensation
Starting Range $72K - $80K DOE

Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm - Onsite
In order to comply with equal pay and pay transparency laws in various locations, we believe the target range of base compensation in all locations within the United States for this role is within the range offered for this opportunity. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and location.
Key Deliverables
- Serve as single voice for Supply in support of product development.
- Source profitable suppliers and initiate business and organization partnerships.
- Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms.
- Approve the ordering of goods and services and finalize purchase details of orders / deliveries.
- Examine and test existing contracts.
- Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
- Collaborate with key persons to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company.
- Forsee alterations in the comparative negotiating ability of suppliers and clients
- Prepare control strategies through analysis of data before unfavorable events happen.
- Develop and execute supply chain project plans for new product development projects.
- Solve complex problems and identify innovative solutions related to supplier issues and purchased components.
- Assesses supplier related risk and proactively manages risk and escalate when necessary.
- Work closely with sourcing/procurement, and project teams to ensure alignment and execution of sourcing activities that support sustainable results.
- Work closely with Supply Chain leaders to provide real-time situational updates and mitigation strategies.
- Develop and maintain procurement rules and regulations.
- Evaluate price, reliability, quality, technical supports and availability of goods and services.
- Accountable for on-time delivery of purchased material, at (or below) planned costs.
- Negotiate pricing with vendors to reduce total material cost.
- Identify constraints that may impact production schedules.
- Work in a cross-functional team environment as a strong team player and demonstrate ability to work with other functional groups to achieve company-wide goals.

Preferred Qualifications
- 6-7+ years of related experience as Purchasing Buyer, Buyer, or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or relevant field
- Proficient in MS Office, ERP systems, and math
- Knowledge of procurement strategies
- Proficiency in MRP systems
- Experience in aerospace or large-scale store fixture manufacturing
- Prior experience in rapid growth environment
