Pentagon Technologies Group, Inc. provides technical services and products to customers within the Semiconductor Industry. We are seeking an experienced I&C Project Manager to join our team.
Job Summary:
As a key member of the Project Execution Team, the I&C Project Manager is responsible for delivering construction projects using multiple project delivery and execution strategies. The ideal candidate will have experience with instrumentation, controls, and life safety systems scope of work overseeing the schedule and budget for the assigned construction projects. The job role also requires interaction with key stakeholders including customer staff, facility owners, central design, and site construction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participation in design reviews, providing feedback to contracted engineering firms, and providing input to design package schedules to support an integrated construction schedule.
- Daily coordination with additional PM’s/System Owners to enable key transition of construction phases.
- Participates in bid evaluation and selection process for construction awards.
- Responsible for performance management of contracted construction resources including coordination with construction resources to manage discipline schedule and budget.
- Ensures accuracy of estimation scope of work and linkage to project schedules. Manages the budget, forecasts trades resources, conflict resolution, and coordinates trades mobilization.
- Engage in contract and legal negotiations, incident investigations, safety training and project assessment.
- Responsible for the safe and successful completion instrumentation and controls scope of work to ensure projects are completed with the highest degree of accuracy and success.
Experience & Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Design, or related field.
- 10 years of controls systems installation project experience.
- Experience in effectively managing design, construction, and startup of medium voltage power distribution systems.
- Experience managing general contractor scope of work is highly desirable.
- Ability to prepare facility system capacity versus demand forecasts for large and small industrial projects. Strong working knowledge related to NEC & electrical code requirements.
- Responsible for the scoping and detailed design of process control (Ladder Logic, BMS and SCADA) and SI (System Integration) systems, control device selection, LAN and WAN solutions and data handling (wired and wireless) solutions and data polling, archiving and historical storage solutions.
- Highly proficient at P&ID programming and controls algorithms, single point of failure analysis and building control design for semi-conductor facilities.
- PMP certified is a plus.
