Position Scope:
This position will act as a financial analyst for the main service company, Alliance Equities Corporation, and multiple affiliated companies/funds. The candidate will perform financial reporting, analysis, and modeling functions for current and prospective investments. The candidate will assist in due diligence of potential investments. The candidate will analyze and report on the current investment portfolio, identify opportunities for improvement, and if approved, implement such opportunities.
Responsibilities:
Financial Analysis & Modeling
- Develop and maintain complex financial models to evaluate investment opportunities.
- Perform detailed financial analysis including valuation, financial statement analysis, and cash flow modeling.
- Analyze financial statement to understand historical performance, identify key trends, and assess the financial health of potential investments, as well as predict what that investment would need in order to succeed
- Conduct sensitivity and scenario analyses to evaluate the impact of different assumptions on investment returns and risks.
- Prepare comprehensive investment presentations that summarize financial analyses, key findings, and recommendations
- Assist with Marketing material to present information in a clean and understandable way for the investor
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support as required
Research & Due Diligence
- Assist in identifying and evaluating new investment opportunities by conducting preliminary screenings and due diligence. Gather and analyze relevant data to determine the attractiveness and viability of potential deals.
- Verify the accuracy of financial statements, assess historical financial performance, and identify any financial irregularities, inconsistencies, or risks
- Assist in the due diligence process, including market analysis, competitive positioning, and management assessments
- Conduct comprehensive industry research to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
- Assist in the acquisition transaction, if applicable, or deal structuring/closing if applicable
Portfolio Management
- Regularly track and analyze the financial and operational performance of portfolio investments. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), financial statements, ROI’s, IRR’s, and other relevant metrics to assess the health and progress of investments.
- Develop models for potential exit scenarios for portfolio investments with return calculations for all stakeholders (General Partners, Limited Partners, Operating Partners)
- Conduct strategic analysis to identify growth opportunities, operational improvements, and potential risks within portfolio investments. Analyze capital allocation strategies to determine which assets create the best return on investment
- Assist in the execution of transactions including acquisitions and divestitures
Administrative Support
- Maintain organized records and databases of investment research and activities on the Server
- Provide support to Vice President of Operations
- Act as a phone backup and maintain coverage for office
- Other tasks and miscellaneous requests and special projects as requested
- Assist with IT coordination as needed
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling and Microsoft Excel
- Understanding of financial accounting and reporting
- Aptitude for working with numbers
- Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills
- Assimilation of information quickly
- Attention to detail, accuracy and the ability to follow-up on, prioritize and schedule all tasks
- Ability of focus and meet required timelines for projects
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as work with a team, assimilating others’ ideas into the project
- Excellent organizational skills, time management skills and the ability to work on and keep track of multiple projects/tasks in a quick-paced environment
- Multi-tasking ability is a must
- Demonstrated written and oral communication skills – ability to communicate and present clearly the thoughts, results, and information regarding a project
- Strong phone skills with a pleasant demeanor is required
- High degree of discretion dealing with confidential information
- High-energy and positive approach in performing all job responsibilities
- Willingness to expand knowledge base and develop new skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, to include Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or other related field is required or minimum of 3 years of experience in finance position
- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, projections, and models
- Work or internship experience in the fields of investments, fund management, insurance or another regulated field is preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
