As the Registered Nurse, you will be responsible to provide exceptional patient care to our patients. You should be able to travel to our Great Neck, Westbury and Rockville Centre offices for up to one month for training purposes.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Drawing up drugs for Endophthalmitis – Prepare antibiotics for intravitreal injection
- Assist physicians with procedures, BP, Glucometer provide exceptional patient care to our patients.
- Complete lab requisitions; call lab for specimen pick up if needed; Follow up on all labs.
- Maintain, verify and log all inventory of all drugs
- Call patients after 1st time injections
- Prepare retrobulbar and subconj anesthesia
- Checking expiration dates & stock levels of all drugs
- Performing FA/ICG injections and monitor signs/symptoms of adverse reactions
- Triage nursing calls through the on call system and messages from staff
- Completing Disability forms/DMV forms/all excuse letters-school/work/gym.
- Complete referral forms for patients (Forsee/Helen Keller/Lighthouse).
- Monitor Emergency Kit, Spill kit & Endophthalmitis kit inventories and expiration dates
- Monitor refrigerator temperatures; document them in the log book
- Coordinating appointments and necessary paperwork for in office treatments
- E-prescribing all medications
- Counsel pre-op patients regarding procedure and medications
- Write out the pre-op drop instructions
- Review medical history and medications with the patients

REQUIRED:
- Varied Shifts 3x10 Monday- Friday, and 1x10 Saturdays
- Must have NYS License- RN
