Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team. The Senior Accountant will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial integrity of the company by meticulously recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering financial transactions. This role demands a high level of analytical thinking skills and a keen eye for detail to accurately compile and analyze account information, prepare financial statements, and resolve discrepancies. The Senior Accountant will also maintain and balance subsidiary accounts, reconcile intercompany transactions, and collaborate with auditors during external audits.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensures the Integrity of Accounting Information:
· Record, verify, consolidate, and enter financial transactions into the accounting system.
2. Financial Data Analysis:
· Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
3. Subsidiary Account Maintenance:
· Maintain and balance subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions.
· Resolve discrepancies and irregularities as needed.
4. General Ledger Management:
· Maintain the general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts, preparing a trial balance, and reconciling entries.
5. Intercompany Transaction Handling:
· Record and reconcile intercompany transactions to ensure accurate financial reporting.
6. Financial Reporting:
· Summarize the financial status by collecting information and preparing balance sheets, profits and loss statements, and other financial statements.
7. External Audit Support:
· Assist in completing external audits by analyzing general ledger accounts and providing information to auditors.
8. Cash and Bank Reconciliation:
· Prepare daily cash reconciliations and monthly bank reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy.
9. Other Duties:
· Perform other accounting-related tasks and duties as necessary to support the finance department.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required.
2. 5 years of relevant experience in accounting, with a strong understanding of accounting principles.
3. Experience working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas.
4. Familiarity with financial reporting requirements and standards.
5. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
6. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
7. Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
9. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
10. Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance.
Salary: $90,000-$100,000
