The Personnel Consulting Group, on behalf of a national railroad construction client, is looking to speak with qualified superintendents for this superintendent role.
Essential Functions:
1. Train subordinates in their work tasks.
2. Schedule jobs and crews daily to ensure customer satisfaction.
3. Assist Foremen in planning jobs.
4. Visit job sites to evaluate progress and observe crew productivity.
5. Recognize, avoid and report potential hazards. Ensure corrective follow up
measures to abate any identified hazards.
6. Communicate and enforce all safety rules and regulations.
7. Record either verbally or in writing all disciplinary actions and report them to the
Area Manager.
8. Work alongside the Area Manager in scheduling jobs and materials.
9. Conduct and organize safety meetings (S.T.E.P.S.) and JSA Reviews.
10. Wear all required personal protective equipment and ensure compliance of
subordinates.
11. Conduct and record at least 12 safety inspections per month including, but not
limited to: Truck inspections, job site audits, tool inspections, and truck
inspections.
12. Oversee and verify crew time sheets, JSA’s and truck inspections to ensure
accuracy.
13. Coordinate delivery of equipment and materials to job sites.
14. Be responsible as the senior Safety coordinator for the office.
15. Conduct track inspections and submit detailed reports of findings to the Area
Manager.
16. Be responsible for maintaining daily communication with the Foreman on
progress and needs for each job.
