Full-time position available for a large busy Family Practice group. Duties include managing human and financial resources effectively to achieve quality patient outcomes in line with financial goals. The Office Manager is directly responsible for staffing the daily operations during clinical hours, implementing, monitoring and enforcing office policies, procedures and processes in accordance with NCQA standards and Federal and State regulations. Office Manager will analyze daily office operations and utilization of resources to ensure efficiency by investigating system, workflow, and operational issues to make recommendations. Interacts with Managers, Directors, CEO and Medical Director to meet company objectives. Office Manager will stay up to date with healthcare guidelines such as HIPAA, OSHA and CLIA. Office Manager will maintain appropriate staffing levels and employee morale, attend meetings as necessary, in-service training, and various other duties.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor Degree in related field or equivalent experience.
- Three or more years' experience in a supervisory/management of a healthcare facility.
- Experience with EMR systems (EPIC experience a plus).
- Experience in managed care and quality assurance.
- Ability to manage projects independently and take the lead with minimum direct supervision.
- Excellent organizational, communication, collaboration and time management skills.
- Ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds.
- Experience with budgeting, planning and development.
- Knowledge of general Medical Assistant skills, including basic knowledge related to nursing such as drugs, biological, physical, social and medical sciences. Also must be familiar with infection control, universal precautions, and OSHA standards required.
- Requires familiarity with medical diagnoses, procedures, and accepted medical treatment, knowledge of procedures and techniques necessary to administer medication and treatment as prescribed by physician.-· Knowledge of medications and common side effects.
- Ability to lift at least 51 lbs. on a regular basis and physically be able to help patients that may require assistance.
- Proficient working knowledge and ability to accurately and timely operate and perform computer related tasks with specific equipment and software applications required.
- Must have current CPR Card
