We seek a high-energy and ambitious Patient Service Representative/Medical Assistant hybrid position to join our Phoenix, AZ location. This person will manage phone, email, and text communication to book new patient appointments and schedule and confirm existing patient appointments. This person will serve as the main point of contact for new patients to answer questions and coordinate with clinic and billing teams as needed. This position also heavily contributes to success by helping maintain office workflow, inventory, and improve health care delivery. The Medical Assistant supports the team to excellent performance, productivity, and customer service.
What You Will Do:
- Manage inbound and outbound phone, email, and text communication with new and existing patients in a friendly and professional manner
- Book and schedule prospective patients to optimize provider time, treatment room utilization, and patients satisfaction
- Serve as the first point of contact to address new patient questions
- Verify insurance information and initiate insurance and authorization requests
- Confirm and reschedule patient appointments
- Work with electronic medical records and scheduling system, customer relationship management system, and texting and email communication systems
- Work together with the team members across our various locations to reach organizational goals and meet patient needs
- Other duties as necessary to achieve goals

- Assist with patient intake and taking of vital signs
- Assist physicians before, during, and after medical procedures
- Collaborate with physicians, to provide follow-up support for patients post-operatively
- Comfort patients throughout the treatment process by anticipating patients’ anxieties and answering patients’ questions
- Assist with scheduling patient medical appointments and ensuring that the patient receives routine or follow-up care
- Manage inventory stocking, tracking, and ordering of supplies using an inventory management system
- Use Centricity EMR to review patient charts and prepare the clinic's daily operations accordingly
