Bilingual Administrative Assistant
Will be supervised by the Program Manager
- Perform receptionist and clerical duties as needed
- Utilize homeless management information system to record all incoming calls for emergency service programs
- Other duties as assigned within the guidelines of this position
- Answer all incoming phone calls and direct to the appropriate staff member and answer general questions about the services and programs of the Agency
- Greet all persons visiting the office and either direct to appropriate staff person and/or answer general questions
- Refer walk-ins seeking emergency services to appropriate program or external agency
- Respects and protects the confidentiality of clients and materials
- Personally notify any staff of client emergencies, cancellations and transfer non-counseling calls
- Perform routine clerical tasks as necessary
- Assist and/or support other staff/departments with special projects or tasks as requested
- Supervise and maintain reception area to ensure a neat, clean and quiet area
- Translate or arrange for translation as needed for persons requesting services
- Schedule reservations for conference room and other building space for both staff and visitors
- Must have strong computer skills in Microsoft.
Must have a High School Diploma or GED
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
