Nurse Contractor Role (RN) - A Unique Opportunity Awaits
We are a home health care company dedicated to delivering outstanding care, services, and support to enhance the quality of life for those we serve. Our approach is rooted in heartfelt care, empathy, and unwavering compassion. These principles drive our actions, ensuring our clients receive the utmost respect and individualized care.
Who We're Searching For: Are you a nurse because it was a calling, not just another job? Do you believe in the inherent dignity, value, and wisdom of our elder community? We are seeking a special kind of nurse contractor—someone who isn't just looking for a role, but a meaningful journey.
This role is about connection, making a tangible difference, and recognizing the stories and wisdom our esteemed elders hold. These individuals have served their nation with diligence, and now they deserve respect, compassionate care, and understanding companionship.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Understand that our elders are not just patients but reservoirs of wisdom, stories, and life experiences.
- Be a compassionate soul who, through small gestures, can make our clients feel genuinely cherished.
- Have the ability to engage in meaningful conversations, whether about today's weather or tales from yesteryears.
- Be a disciplined organizer who values the importance of details, from patient records to the small anecdotes shared during visits.
- Be a proactive individual, always seeking ways to brighten someone's day, and finding joy in spontaneous moments of human connection.
- Possess basic medical training such as monitoring vital signs, providing basic first aid, observing and reporting health changes, assisting with medication management, and helping patients navigate medical appointments.
- Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and other personal care tasks.
- Provide mobility assistance, ensuring safe movement and promoting safe ambulation.
- Educate patients and their families on managing health conditions and providing instructions for home care.
- Perform basic health screenings such as blood sugar tests or monitoring oxygen levels.
- Be prepared to respond quickly and effectively in case of a medical emergency.
- Successfully pass a criminal and federal background check as well as a negative drug test.
The Practical Side:
- Contractor Position: We provide the flexibility for you to set your hours, which should also align with our clients' requirements. This position is suitable for both full-time and part-time availability.
- Compensation: Competitive compensation is provided to reflect the significance of your role. This job is well-suited for early-career nurses seeking experience, those wanting a lighter workload in later stages of their career, or individuals needing an additional role.
- Collaboration & Communication: Join a team that values open dialogue and your voice. We prioritize clear and efficient communication, minimizing unnecessary meetings to focus on what's important.
Who We Hope to Meet:
- A registered nurse.
- Comfortable with basic computer tasks.
- Eager to evolve and adapt.
- Calm and responsive in challenging situations.
- Self-motivated with a proactive attitude.
- Home health care experience is a plus but not required.
- Has a vehicle and is ready to traverse the Greater Cincinnati area, viewing an hour’s drive as part of the journey.
How to Join Our Journey: We are committed to hiring individuals as complete people, not just as lists of past jobs and skills. We understand that a resume often doesn't fully represent who you are. To give you a chance to share more about yourself and make the process more efficient, we invite you to craft an optional narrative using some of the topics listed below:
- Why you chose to become a nurse: Share the story or motivation behind your decision to enter the nursing field.
- Examples of going above and beyond: Describe a time when you exceeded expectations in your professional or personal life.
- Accomplishments and traits: Highlight any accomplishments or personal traits that you believe would make you an appealing candidate to us, especially those that a resume might not fully capture.
- Practical Details: Include your driving preferences, weekly availability, potential start date, and what you value in an employer.
Be genuine, be yourself, and be honest. Attach your resume and let your combined story speak to us.
If you have questions or need clarification as you draft your narrative, please do not hesitate to message us through Indeed. We believe in open conversations and are here to assist.
We are an equal opportunity employer and welcome applicants from all backgrounds to apply.
Join Us: Are you the heartbeat we've been waiting for? Let’s journey together, making a difference one visit at a time.
