Responsibilities:
- Registered Nurse performs initial nursing assessment for incoming clients.
- Arranges appropriate appointments with Health Care Providers to complete physical examinations, including required additional health screenings and supplemental tests.
- Registered Nurse administers medications and maintains accurate medication supply records.
- Maintains adequate inventory of medical supplies in compliance with governing regulations and agency policy.
- Implements and assures adherence to Infection Control policies and practices.
- Provides education for clients regarding health, nutrition, safety, and medication compliance.
- Registered Nurse manages Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
- Registered Nurse writes and maintains updated multidisciplinary treatment plans for clients based on their needs.
- Other related duties as assigned by the Medical Director, Director of Nursing or Chief Executive Officer.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing is required.
- Current RN license in good standing in New Jersey is required.
- Current First Aid/CPR Certification issued by the American Red Cross or the American Red Cross Association required.
- May be recent graduate of approved nursing school or a minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience.
- Knowledge of health care issues pertaining to substance use disorders, including but not limited to mental health needs, women’s health issues, HIV/AIDs, and other communicable diseases.
- Knowledge of accurate record keeping in accordance with regulatory agencies and standards.
- Knowledge of nutritional requirements and practices.
- Ability to plan and organize work with prioritization and time management skills.
- Ability to prepare accurate records and reports.
