Job Summary:
Works as team member under direction of maintenance supervisor to maintain a safe and well kept environment for guests including guest rooms, breezeways, lobby, common areas, fitness room, kitchen, and general building exterior.
Assist with daily tasks such as exterior maintenance and cleaning, removal of trash and recycling, testing and balancing the pool and cleaning those areas. Help with seasonal tasks as directed. Contribute to maintaining and repairing mechanical, electrical, basic plumbing, and other equipment used by both guests and staff to ensure a quality experience and work environment.
Job Duties:
Creates/Maintains a safe and attractive environment for guests and associates by ensuring the interior and exterior of the hotel is maintained in accordance with safety standards. This also includes cleanliness of the exterior of the hotel, grounds, pool, and exercise room.
Timely completion of hotel room and building repairs such as replacing ceiling tiles, A/C filters, light bulbs; fixing door locks and testing smoke/carbon monoxide detectors; patching drywall and painting; reinforcing deck flooring/railings
Installs and/or performs repairs on toilets, sink and tub faucets and drains, laundry facilities, kitchen equipment, and other hotel property. Ability to troubleshoot and recognize when professional help may be necessary.
Seasonal completion of hotel room and building cleaning such as floor waxing and carpet cleaning; clearing drains and fixtures; removing insects from exterior light fixtures and windows
Actively participates in completing routine and preventative maintenance, and communicates work plans with hotel managers.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- CPO (certified pool operator) certification is a plus
- Knowledge of basic structural, electrical and plumbing maintenance.
- Experience with general maintenance tools.
- Troubleshooting ability with skills in painting, HVAC, and carpentry.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to push, pull, bend, stoop, and reach upward.
- Ability to tolerate exposure to extreme temperatures and cleaning chemicals.
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests and co-workers.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

PAY BASED ON EXPERIENCE.
