Primary Objectives of Position:
- Deliver and distribute agronomy products in a professional and timely manner
- Assist in optimizing the cooperative’s market and efficiency
- Uphold all Cooperative policies including CTEP training and NFPA code.
- Maintain CDL license with required endorsements.
- Observe OSHA, state, and federal safety regulations.
- Maintain a positive attitude that promotes teamwork within the cooperative and a favorable image of the cooperative.
- Help achieve the cooperative’s mission and goals
- Perform all tasks with outstanding customer service
Responsibilities of the Position:
- Operate spraying and spreading equipment properly
- Mix fertilizer and chemicals properly to ensure quality standards and accuracy
- Deliver products to appropriate customers in a timely manner
- Report needed inventory items to supervisor
- Ensure all delivery tickets are accurate and filled out correctly
- Keep accurate log of all fields, acres, rates, product, and weather
- Inform supervisor of any potential problems or new business opportunities
- Assist in maintaining compliance by completing yearly, monthly and daily DOT, NFPA and Allied Cooperative compliance and reporting paperwork.
- Ensure no product problems result due to your recommendation or installation
- Attend all product updates and service training sessions
- Lose no customer due to careless performance
- Ensure all customers are informed of safe handling procedures
- Follow Optimizer delivery routes as assigned by Director of Propane
- Visually check customer’s tank and system upon delivery
- Use extreme caution while driving in customers’ yards; drive slowly and watch for children, pets, animals, toys, flower beds, hedges, and lawns.
- Avoid damage to customers’ buildings and property when positioning for unloading
- Observe and report any unusual activity, problems, and customers’ complaints to your supervisor
- Do not extend credit to patrons who have not been approved by the credit manager
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Must have or be able to obtain a Wisconsin Certified Applicators License
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 70 pounds, have full use of arms, legs and good finger dexterity.
- Must be able to climb stairs, reach above and at shoulder level, and work on or with moving machinery, at unprotected heights, in temperature extremes and outside.
- Exposure to propane and refined fuels.
