Day Shift (6:45am – 7:00pm)
Must work a 12 ¼ hour shift 7 out of every 14 days
(Week 1: Mon/Tue/Fri/Sat, Week 2: Sun/Wed/Thur)
The availability of overtime on your days off on an as-needed basis.
Opening:
This position reports to the Recycle department manager and will be responsible for operating grinding machines to regrind material for conserving and re-use as well as sorting boxes of mixed plastic materials into respective groups. They will be a back-up material handler driving forklifts if the primary material handler is not available.
Work as a team to make sure the grinding machines are running well, meeting daily goals, training, and doing cleanouts when needed. Grinding Technicians will be responsible for daily maintenance and monitoring of grinders/related equipment.
Requirements:
Safety minded, cleanliness, maintain and operate grinding machines to maximum capacity, problem solving, trains and coaches others, communicates and builds a positive team environment, prior or current forklift experience/license (we can train/issue free forklift licenses.
You'll be responsible for:
- Grinding materials for reuse (operating & maintaining machines)
- Identifying & Sorting mixed plastics for efficient processing (training provided)
- Backing up as a forklift operator (training provided)
- Collaborating to meet production needs & goals to keep machines running smoothly
