Purchasing Assistant at SynCardia Systems, LLC
Responsibilities:
Department Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for the ordering of materials, supplies and/or equipment and delivery and coordination with vendors.
- Analyzing stock levels & velocity of sales
- Maintains records and follow up files of purchases, shipments and billing.
- Negotiating purchases with vendors
- General Customer Service and answering phone calls
Position Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Purchasing Assistant position requires high level of verbal and written communication and heavy phone work, including calling suppliers and expediting requests for quotes (RFQ) responses and purchase orders shipments.
- The Purchasing Assistant will process vendor acknowledgements, close out purchase orders; receipts and cross dock administrative functions and post other information into our purchasing system
Role Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word and Excel).
- Ability to accurately handle, prioritize and complete multiple tasks while managing interruptions in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to interact well with vendors, office staff and warehouse staff
- Attention to detail a must-Must have a positive attitude and confidence in abilities
- Strong organizational and problem solving skills

- Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of nonconformities relating to the product, process and Quality System.
- Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels.

Working environment
1. Work Station Area: Office, Manufacturing, Laboratory, Warehouse
2. Special Factors in the Work Area:
- The working environment is indoors and is seasonally heated and cooled with minimal noise levels.
- The position requires considerable sitting, typing and the ability to move objects of less than 25 pounds.
- The position requires the ability to communicate in person, telephonically and via email.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
