Only skilled or Certified ophthalmic assistants will be considered .
Pay is based on years of experience and skill level.
Candidates should have no less than 6 months experience performing ophthalmic assistant duties, the ability to succeed in a fast paced environment, and enjoy patient advocacy, and team work. Professionalism and efficient multi-tasking capabilities, empathy and compassion for patients, as well as exceptional intrapersonal skills are required.

Responsibilities include:
Accurately and efficiently performing/obtaining:
- chief complaint, history of present illness,
- visual acuity
- neutralization of glasses prescription
- manifest refraction
- assessment of pupils, confrontation fields, and anterior chamber depth
- scribing
- A-scans
- visual field, fundus photography, OCT, topography, and pachymetry testing,
- applanation and tonopen tonometry
- assisting in minor in office surgeries, sterilization of surgical instruments
