Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented PCB Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing products in various engineering fields.
LCR Embedded Systems is a leading provider of chassis, backplanes, and integrated systems for the aerospace, defense, and rugged industrial market, with a focus on VITA and PICMG computer standards.
LCR Embedded Systems is looking for an PCB Design Engineer who is passionate about printed circuit board (PCB) design and will provide outstanding collaboration, product creativity, and a keen eye for detail as they design and develop high-quality products and systems.
MAIN JOB DUTIES
· Create and maintain engineering drawing packages to support new and existing PCB designs.
· Design PCB layouts considering factors such as signal integrity, power distribution, thermal management, and manufacturability.
· Perform design verification through simulation, prototyping, and testing to ensure PCB performance meets specifications.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, and manufacturing teams to develop PCB designs that meet project requirements.
· Optimize PCB designs for cost-effectiveness, reliability, and compliance with regulatory standards.
· Perform CAD library maintenance as required.
· Work closely with engineering teams to ensure successful production of PCB assemblies.
· Participates in customer design reviews and supports weekly phone calls with the client during the developmental phase.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
- Proficient in PCB design software; Siemens PADS PCB experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of electronic design concepts such a differential-pairs, transmission lines and bus- structures.
- Strong understanding of PCB design principles, including layout techniques, high-speed design (>10Gb/s), and EMI/EMC considerations.
- Experience with PCB assembly and manufacturing processes.
- Understanding of VITA and PICMG standards is a plus.
- Ability to effectively communicate with others.
- Self-starter, self-motivated, problem-solving team player.
- Ideal candidate will have 5 or more years of similar work experience.
EDUCATION
· AS/BS in Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology (or equivalent).

Pay: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
