Linkel Environmental Construction is seeking an experienced and motivated working foreman to join our small but growing sustainable environmental construction business. JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for an experienced job foreman with equipment operation proficiency and CDL. Must have experience operating excavation equipment and knowledge and skills to manage a project in a safe and competent manner. Must maintain and enforce all safety requirements, such as wearing appropriate PPE, and follow all company policies. Must be willing to take part in other necessary tasks, work on technical jobsites that require a high attention to detail, and can build to given specifications within a highly regulated field. Strong communication skills are necessary. You will supervise a small but cross-trained and highly versatile crew to achieve production goals. We utilize Bobcat skid steers, Link-Belt and Volvo excavators, and a Morooka (tracked dump truck). JOB DUTIES
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and graders
- Follow project plans and blueprints to ensure accurate and efficient operation
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment
- Adhere to safety protocols and OSHA regulations
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within budget
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure work meets specifications
- Assist with other construction-related tasks as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in supervision and operating heavy equipment in a construction setting. Experience grading slopes is a plus.
- Must have a valid Commercial Driver's License; Class A or B.
- Experience reading engineering plans and using surveying equipment.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Maine DEP Erosion Control certification, and or experience with shoreline stabilization, fish ladders, or dam removal is a plus.
