Other Coast Cafe in Ballard is interviewing for someone to fill two part-time positions in our small and scrappy, super popular and well-loved sandwich shop. The position we have are three days a week and your availability to work on weekends is required. We rely on one another to pick up shifts so more hours will definitely be available. We open at 10:30am every day and close at 5:00pm except for Sunday when we close at 3:00pm. So, no super early morning arrivals, or super late closings... imagine, you get to have a life outside of work!
We are a busy restaurant that frequently has a line out the door and the phone ringing off the hook. If you hate that type of busy-ness, then this isn't the job you want to apply for. But, if you love a busy day, the hustle of taking care of business, being a good co-worker and being nice to customers, we're the perfect place to apply. Please have recent kitchen experience. Everyone is trained on how to work each sandwich station, as well as work the register. This is a kitchen that requires good multi-tasking skills and an excellent work ethic.
Starting hourly wage is $19.00/hr and tips range $10 - $13 per hour. You also get paid vacation, paid sick time (of course), we close on all major holidays (and pay you for them), a bus pass and we offer discounts for you to use. All this AND your paycheck will never, ever be late. We're responsible. We're also all a nice bunch of people and would love for you to be, too.

Qualifications
- Previous kitchen experience
- Familiarity with food preparation
- Barista experience is a plus
- Strong understanding of food safety protocols
- Ability to handle cash register and POS systems
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Knowledge of sanitation practices and food handling procedures
- Basic math skills for cash handling
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
