Business Development Manager - Greater Los Angeles, Ventura, San Luis Obispo and Kern Counties
Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated, competitive, and detail-oriented Business Development Manager to lead sales initiatives and drive growth across the greater Los Angeles, Ventura, San Luis Obispo, and Kern counties. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in formulating and executing sales strategies, cultivating valuable relationships with key stakeholders, and exceeding ambitious sales targets.

Responsibilities:
- Engage with targets in the irrigation, plumbing, and waterworks contractor sectors to stimulate demand.
- Educate and influence wholesale distributor partners, contractors, and specification communities on the value proposition of the principals we represent and the key benefits of their products.
- Develop and implement sales and promotional endeavors to fuel growth across wholesale distribution channels, irrigation, plumbing, and waterworks contractors, specification communities, and municipalities.
- Exceed sales targets and outpace market growth rates by analyzing market data and pinpointing growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with Regional Sales Managers to discern market demands and devise strategic plans to capitalize on emerging opportunities.
- Manage, leverage, and expand contractor and specifier databases to enhance direct marketing and communication initiatives.
- Participate in and contribute to strategic contractor events, trade shows, regional trade associations, and other industry gatherings.
Qualifications:
- Must reside in or be willing to relocate to Los Angeles or Ventura Counties.
- Previous experience in Outside Sales and/or Sales Management roles.
- Previous experience in Wholesale Distribution, Sales Management, or Outside Sales in relevant Industry.
- Five or more years of experience in the Plumbing, Irrigation, and/or Waterworks industries.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, coupled with a strong business acumen.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and proactive individual eager to assume ownership of job responsibilities.
- Familiarity with CRM software, word processing, spreadsheets, and database applications.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bi-Lingual (English and Spanish)
- Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) in a relevant field.
