Summary:
Investigate and document incidents, complaints, and other adverse situations, using tools to seek solutions and improvements rather than assign blame.Responsible for working closely with lab users and staff to ensure patients needing lab services are supported in a way that facilitates the best experience for the patient, family and their caregivers.Ensure the collection and prompt delivery of the correct specimen to the lab and quality testing and reporting of results within established turnaround times, while maintaining compliance with all applicable accrediting and regulatory guidelines according to CMC's policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, direct and coordinate daily operational activities of section(s) assuring quality and accuracy of testing as well as compliance with all accrediting and regulatory agencies.
- Implement, maintain and manage a Lean work environment while ensuring adherence to Lean principles and processes. Performs standard work of Value Stream Manager including metric reviews, audits and gemba walks.
- Ensure policies and procedures dealing with testing and processes in the technical area assigned are complete and current.
- Support, initiate, encourage and / or participate in quality improvement opportunities and promote a trusting and secure work environment through consistently supportive, dependable interactions.

WORK EXPERIENCE
- At least 2 years previous leadership/management experience Req
- At least 5 years experience as a Medical Technologist Pref
EDUCATION
- Four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Req
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
- Certified in medical technology, or equivalent experience Req
