Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant that loves patients and wants to transition into a Treatment Coordinator role to join our healthcare team. This is a combined clinical and administrative role. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and enjoy dealing with insurance companies and prior authorizations and be very organized. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a small outpatient mental health clinic. Compassion and teamwork and willingness to learn are more important than certification. We work Mondays to Friday 8am to 5:30pm, 2 days a month we work till 7:30 Friday pm and 2 Saturdays a month might work 8-12pm for a total of about 40 hours. Work with great people who really care about patients. Salary negotiable.
Duties:
- Assist teammates in every area.
- Perform basic life support measures when necessary
- Monitor patient during treatments
- Administer medications as directed by treating provider
- Complete prior authorizations
- Record patient medical history and vital signs accurately
- Call patients to communicate information
- Call pharmacies for medication delivery
-enter treatments into paper and EMR records.
-Work with multiple EMR's and computer programs
Requirements:
- Completion of a BLS is minimum requirement, ACLS preferred.
-know normal vs. abnormal vitals.
-have high frustration tolerance to work with insurance companies
- Proficiency in medical terminology and medications is helpful
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
Experience:
- Basic life support: 1 year (Preferred)
