Overview:
We are a fast casual sushi bar concept that incorporates robotics, automation and streamlined processes in order to improve labor cost and speed. With these improvements we are now able to offer quality sushi rolls made with ingredients from Japan, made fresh to order, at the same price point of a Duane Reade. We are considered the fastest sushi bar in Manhattan and now cater large events that frequently request sushi for 500+ people at a time.
With the demand of our excellent product, we are expanding to now the 4th store in Manhattan, thereby we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Store Manager to oversee the operations and quality control at a single outlet. The Store Manager will be responsible for managing and growing a team, supporting the team during lunch and dinner rushes, and maintaining customer service excellence that Makimaki is known for .

Duties:
- Manage, lead and grow a team of employees, providing guidance, training and support.
- Ensure high quality standards and practices are enforced and exercised
- Ensure excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving any issues
- Manage catering orders, deliveries and inquiries
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure proper stock management
- Oversee the store's cleanliness to maintain standards synonymous with a sushi bar
- Conduct interviews and hire qualified candidates for open positions
- Train employees on company policies, procedures, and product knowledge
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the store
- Handle cash management, including opening and closing procedures
- Collaborate with other store managers to optimize store operations
Qualifications:
- Management experience in restaurant, hotel or catering company
- Preferred management experience from another Quick Service Restaurant
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of food handling and production standards
- Ability to interview, hire, train, and manage employees effectively
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
