Polaris Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center is searching for an experienced Activities Assistant to join our TEAM!
We are looking for part time, 2-3 days per week, every third weekend and some evenings are required.
Qualifications:
- High School Graduate
- Ability to write, read and speak English
- Ability to work with inidividuals who have limited capacity for self-care
- Ability to implement programs of individual and group activities based on residents' needs
- Plan and implement group and individual functions as necessary.
- Familiarity with Federal, State and local long-term-care requirements.
- Demonstrates confidence in the leadership, effective communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Be able to successfully pass all pre-employment background & drug tests.
- Previous healtcare experience or activities/recreation assistant experience a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the activity director in implementing an activity program to meet each resident's needs.
- Maintain the resources needed for each resident's activity needs.
- Assist the activity director with required record keeping.
Purpose of this position: The purpose of this position is to implement an activity program in compliance with requirements to meet residents’ needs.
