On Line Design is currently seeking a National Accounts Manager that has experience working within the flavor industry. This role is located in Chicago, IL, California, Texas or Arizona. This role will require an ability to travel and easily cover the western part of the United States. In this role, you will need to be able to connect the need of both new and existing customers with the technologies, capabilities, and expertise being offered. The ability to maximize the return on investment for the client and customers is crucial. You will be expected to communicate both internally and externally to better allow the organization to align and maximize opportunities, while being able to properly allocate resources in support of securing new business opportunities.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Annual sales budgeting, and planning to meet/exceed defined budgets
- Prospecting, qualifying, creating new customers overviews
- Customer Management
- It is imperative to meet and exceed customer’s expectations through leveraging new and existing technology while balancing against the limits of what capabilities are able to be offered
- Project brief acquisition & management
- Briefly and accurately characterize the technical scope, commercial opportunity and closing strategy in a written brief
- Regulatory documentation requests
- Complaints & Troubleshooting
- Pricing & contract negotiations
- Customer support: Presentations | Demos | Cuttings/Tastings
- Attends and participates in relevant tradeshows and supplier nights
- Follows food safety and food defense procedures as instructed and required
- Supports site Food Safety and Quality Policy, including the site Food Safety Culture
- Perform other related duties and assignments as required
- Follows food safety and food defense procedures, as instructed and required
- Attends all required Food Safety and Personal Safety Training
Education/Experience:
- BS/BA in Business or a technical field of study; Food Science a plus
- Flavor Industry Sales experience a plus; MBA a plus
- 10+ years of custom food ingredient sales experience is strongly desired
- Proficient with Sales Force, LinkedIn Navigator, Merlin and/or CRM systems is required
- Ability to understand customer and industry needs and trends
- Understanding of food safety practices
- Ability to develop relationships with current and prospective customers
- Self-motivated to find new business opportunities, yet disciplined to finish projects till their conclusions
- Proficient with Microsoft Office software

Pay: $120,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
