Providing leadership and direction for the operational management of payroll and accounts payable for Signature Healthcare and its affiliates; ensure staff process and provide information efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with federal, state, and other regulatory agencies as well as designated policies and procedures; maintains appropriate fiscal and system controls; decision making, policy development and implementation; providing leadership in the coordination and implementation of time and attendance system
Job Responsibilities:
- Hire, train, and supervise staff.
- Subject matter expert for payroll and tax compliance issues.
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll and accounts payable disbursements in compliance with federal and state regulations as well as organizational policies.
- Handles quarterly and annual tax reporting requirements as well as communications required with regulatory agencies.
- Stays current with regulatory agency (IRS, SSA, DOR, DOL) requirements as well as best practice operations through professional memberships, such as APA.
- Maintains the integrity of the payroll, accounts payable, and time and attendance systems.
- Responsible for testing functionality on any system changes before implemented.
- Provide training and education to all levels of management.
- Audit staff and systems for compliance.
- Maintain record and retention system.
Qualifications:
- 7 - 10 years of experience leading payroll function in a large multi-corporate environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, & Outlook and other web-based applications.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Enhanced problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Must be able to identify, evaluate, and implement process improvement.
- Experience in healthcare industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- Experience leading accounts payable function in a large multi-corporate environment.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP).
- Experience with Meditech and Kronos systems.
- Experience with implementing systems - payroll, accounts payable, and automated time and attendance.

Pay: $23.67 - $28.51 per hour
