Seeking a part-time Property Maintenance Technician for a 72 unit apartment community in Bridgeville, PA. Applicant must have a strong work ethic and be dedicated to providing excellent customer service while being an enthusiastic team player. Must be available to work extended/flexible hours as needed.
Duties & Responsibilities:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a variety of routine repairs and maintenance on buildings and mechanical equipment. Includes general plumbing repairs; repair & maintenance of electrical fixtures; troubleshooting general maintenance and HVAC issues; appliance repair & installation; painting; general carpentry; making vacant apartments ready for new residents, completing work orders and maintaining curb appeal.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED
- Ability to read and write English
- One year experience in building maintenance
- Must have own transportation and a Valid PA drivers license.
- Must be willing to submit to a background check and drug test
- General knowledge of plumbing, electrical and HVAC; knowledge of general household repairs and maintenance; general carpentry.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Demonstrates strong time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills
- Physical Demands:
Candidate must be able to operate hand and power tools. Normal physical activity can be strenuous and may involve prolonged standing, walking, reaching, bending and stooping. The candidate must have the ability to use arm strength to manipulate hand tools. Candidate must have the ability to occasionally push, pull, and/or lift objects up to and over 50 pounds. The work is primarily indoors with occasional outdoor work.
