The position requires a friendly and courteous person with clear and excellent communication skills. The Parish Office Receptionist is responsible for managing the front desk and providing administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of the main office. This role involves interacting with parishioners, visitors, staff, and volunteers, performing various clerical tasks in support of our administrative team, and helping update the weekly bulletin and the parish website. Applicants are required to be practicing Catholics in good standing and supportive of the mission and vision of St. Clare of Assisi.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- A high school diploma or equivalent, as well as additional education or certification in office administration, is a plus.
- Previous experience as a receptionist or administrative role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook) and Canva
- Knowledge and able to operate telephone equipment and standard office equipment (e.g., computer, scanners, printers, copier)
- Basic knowledge of print design and social media skills (e.g., Updating Facebook, Instagram and parish website)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and handle a very busy front office environment
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is required

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
