Job Summary:
At Terrapin Physical Therapy, we are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to assist in delivering excellent care to our patients in a kind and caring way. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in orthopedics, exercise progression and anatomy knowledge with exceptional emotional intelligence. You will work closely with our physical therapists to implement treatment plans and support patients on their journey to becoming healthier and happier.
Duties:
- Provide hands-on care and exercise progressions during therapy sessions under the guidance of licensed physical therapists
- Assist in implementing treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs
- Monitor and document patient progress accurately in WebPT
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care for patients
- Maintain a clean and organized therapy environment
Qualifications:
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant
- Experience in outpatient or clinic settings is preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Knowledge of inpatient rehabilitation practices is a plus
