Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Cattle Hauler to join our team. As a Cattle Hauler, you will be responsible for transporting livestock safely and efficiently to various destinations. This is a physically demanding role that requires strong driving skills and the ability to handle livestock with care.
Duties:
- Safely load and unload cattle onto trailers
- Transport cattle to designated locations using commercial vehicles
- Ensure the well-being and comfort of the livestock during transportation
- Follow all applicable laws, regulations, and safety procedures for transporting livestock
- Perform routine maintenance checks on vehicles and report any issues or malfunctions
- Keep accurate records of mileage, fuel usage, and delivery details
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, farmers, and other team members
- Adhere to strict biosecurity protocols to prevent the spread of diseases
Requirements:
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably with livestock hauling experience
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles
- Knowledge of proper loading and unloading techniques for livestock
- Strong physical stamina and ability to handle physically demanding tasks
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
