Job Description:
The Electrical Hardware Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, and testing of electrical hardware systems for aviation applications. This role requires a deep understanding of avionics, electrical systems, and industry standards. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability and performance of our products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electrical hardware systems for aviation applications, including circuit design, PCB layout, and component selection.
- Perform simulations, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and performance specifications.
- Collaborate with software engineers, mechanical engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate hardware solutions into overall system designs.
- Conduct risk assessments and failure mode effects analyses (FMEA) to ensure the safety and reliability of electrical systems.
- Prepare technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and user manuals.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in electrical engineering and aviation technology.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in electrical hardware design, preferably in the aviation or aerospace industry.
- Proficiency in CAD software for circuit design and PCB layout (e.g., Altium Designer, Eagle, OrCAD).
- Strong understanding of avionics systems, electrical safety standards, and industry regulations (e.g., DO-160, DO-254).
- Experience with simulation tools (e.g., SPICE, MATLAB) and testing equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical information clearly.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with FPGA design and programming.
- Knowledge of embedded systems and microcontroller programming.
- Familiarity with aerospace certification processes and standards.
- Project management experience.
