Responsibilities:
This is a full-time (40+ hours per week) salaried, exempt, supervisory position. Executive Housekeeper is primarily responsible for the overall management of the Housekeeping Department. Executive Housekeeper oversees the supervision of all housekeeping, custodial and laundry staff.
Description
50% - Operations: Manage cleaning and equipment maintenance operations within standards of Canyon Ranch for both housekeeping and laundry departments. Plan and organize work flow for both laundry and housekeeping to ensure timely and accurate completion of all projects. Establish and maintain position critical standards and procedures and efficiency standards. Manages department level programs including production checklists, financial controls, and supply & linen inventories. Develops and implements departmental budgets and ensures that all Housekeeping areas operate within budget constraints.Direct revenue generating responsibility: The position makes direct contribution to efforts that generate revenue.
25%-Staff Supervision: Maintains a professional leadership style and mentors all levels of Housekeeping and Laundry staff. Responsible for the selection, hire, on-boarding, training, counseling and termination. Coordinates and implements staff trainings and continuing education for all areas. Responsible for timely completion of performance reviews. .Ensures all staff follows proper daily procedures and supports department and staff with all guest related activities focusing staff on guest engagement.
15%-Communication: Regular and effective communication with facilities director and management team including participation in departmental meetings and ensuring that information is effectively ‘passed along’ to appropriate departments to ensure smooth operation of department and facility.
10%- Safety: Ensures a safe environment for staff and guests; Conducts regular training, Develops, implements and ensures standards for key control and safety related topics are maintained, Conducts training on personal protective equipment, Hazmat and proper equipment handling, Ensures proper documentation of any work related injury is completed accurately and within established timeframes.
Qualifications:
Must have prior knowledge of position/industry (3-5 years previous experience in same or related field).
High School diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving history.
Supervises 6 or more (full time equivalent) colleagues.
