Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Engineer specializing in roadway/heavy highway and bridge work to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the planning, design, construction, and maintenance of highway and bridge projects. This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent project management skills, and a commitment to ensuring the safety and durability of infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning and Design:
- Develop project plans, budgets, and timelines for highway and bridge construction projects.
- Conduct site analyses, surveys, and geotechnical investigations to determine project feasibility.
- Create detailed designs using CAD software, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections of existing highways and bridges to assess their condition and identify necessary repairs.
- Develop maintenance schedules and manage repair projects to extend the lifespan of infrastructure.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Obtain necessary permits and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Assess and mitigate environmental impacts of construction projects.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Coordinate with government agencies, contractors, and other stakeholders to facilitate project activities.
- Engage with the public and address concerns related to construction projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Experience in roadway/heavy highway and bridge design and construction.
- Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering design tools.
- Strong knowledge of structural analysis, hydrology, drainage design, and pavement design.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to innovation and efficiency.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
