Facilities Coordinator
Reports to: Maintenance Manager
Summary: A self-managing and motivated individual who will manage land and building related items by researching, scheduling and completing maintenance repairs.
Job Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Facility Coordinator to oversee the efficient operation and maintenance of our facilities. The Facility Coordinator will play a critical role in ensuring a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment for employees, visitors, and clients. This position requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to multitask effectively.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee all aspects of facility operations, including building maintenance, repairs, cleaning, and wastewater treatment/discharge.
- Ensure that all building systems, such as HVAC, lighting, and plumbing are functioning properly ensuring they are safe, well maintained and in good working order.
- Research, schedule, supervise external contractors and oversee all building and property repairs while ensuring minimal disruption to production operations.
- Address any issues or discrepancies with vendors promptly
- Liaise with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance and repair services.
- Manage vendor/contractor relationships by reviewing and upholding contracts for facility maintenance services, negotiating pricing and service agreements as needed.
- Perform routine inspections of the facility to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and adhere to cleanliness standards.
- Prepare and submit reports on the status of maintenance operations to management.
- Act as the primary point of contact for emergency maintenance situations pertaining to onsite pump house, fire related items/activity and security [EPS].
- Responsible for collecting and reporting environmental data
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facility management or related roles, with at least 3 years of experience
- Strong knowledge of building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical and structural components
- Experience with preventative maintenance programs, software and tools
- Knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent attention to detail, organization and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in facility management software preferred
- May require occasional evening, weekend or on-call hours for emergencies
