As a Onsite Geologist/Mudlogger with Terra Guidance, you'll fully engage in fieldwork and reside at remote job sites for extended durations. Your role is vital in providing the client with accurate geological and drilling data. This includes gathering and describing rock cuttings at designated depth intervals, monitoring gas while drilling, creating a comprehensive "mudlog" incorporating rock cuttings, gas data, and drilling information. Additionally, you'll submit daily reports to the client and communicate daily events effectively to the Operations Geologist.

To be eligible for this position, you need a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) or Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Geology, reliable transportation, and a clean driving record. Additionally, you should have the ability to lift 50 pounds, safely navigate up and down two flights of stairs multiple times per hour while carrying samples and equipment and be prepared to work 12-hour shifts.
Qualifications:
B.S. or B.A. or higher degree in Geology
One year or more of experience in the Williston Basin
Knows how to geosteer, SES or StarSteer software is a plus
Able to lift 50 lbs., safely navigate up and down two flights of stairs multiple times per hour while carrying samples and equipment.
Possess a dependable vehicle capable of navigating through all weather conditions and dirt roads.
Have a clean driving record.
Proficient in computer usage, including, but not limited to, the Microsoft Office Suite. TLog. Stoner Engineering Software (SES Geosteering software), Rogii StarSteer software
Willing to travel up to 600 miles from home and live on a drilling location for extended periods of time.
Willing to work 12-hour shifts, dayshift, and nightshift.
Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Proficient in problem-solving.
