Job Title: Employee Benefits - Quoting & Implementation Specialist
55K and up depending on experience
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the employee benefits marketing process which includes obtaining client census and quotes, preparing and submitting bid specifications and evaluating the results in preparing recommendations for clients.
- Create client proposals with current and renewal details as well as marketplace options.
- Communicate final placement details and instructions to carriers and clients.
- Implement new lines of coverage by setting up accounts, collecting needed documentation, and reviewing plan details with Advisor.
- Accurately, thoroughly and timely input of client information into data management system.
- Generate materials for client presentations and meetings.
- Support Advisors and act as first line of contact during renewal.
- Sets priorities and manages workflow independently to ensure efficient, timely and accurate processing of transactions and other responsibilities.
- Communicate due dates, timelines and expectations to clients and carriers.
- Develop and maintain excellent carrier relationships.
- Negotiate final rates and conditions with carrier as needed.
- Promote teamwork by sharing experiences, assisting others when help is needed and maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
- Ability to work on additional projects that support the overall development and advancement of the Employee Benefits team.
- Strong ability to problem solve, make independent decisions with minimal oversight, set and meet deadlines, communicate, negotiate, work under pressure, organize, prioritize, manage multiple tasks and operate in a fast-paced environment.
- Identifies and develops cross-selling opportunities within the employee benefit list of clients and prospects.
- Takes the initiative to create special projects and development of new ideas/services, that cause us to stand apart from our competition.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong customer service acumen, with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail, organized and process-oriented
- Work within a team and foster teamwork
- Ability to proactively plan, prioritize, and multitask to meet deadlines
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding client information
- Effective communicator and interacts effectively with owner, Controller, Executive Staff, and Human Resources.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education-related training preferred
- 2-5 years of knowledge of or exposure to Employee Benefits
- Experience with Employee Navigator and Applied Epic
