The Funeral Attendant position is a 1099 position and hours depend on the current needs of the location.
General duties include meeting the general public, answering questions and providing information on funeral and cremation information and other related topics, assist with answering phones courteously and in, assisting on Funeral and Memorial services.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepares for services to include delivering and setting up floral arrangements, chairs, caskets, urns, photos and other personal keepsakes.
- Assists in preparing documents related to services as directed by management.
- Assists with removal and preparation of deceased, including dressing, lifting and casketing, operation of crematory, as permitted by law.
- Run errands such as for floral delivery, picking up of supplies, documents, etc
- Serves as an usher and may direct traffic or park cars.
- Drives Funeral Home vehicles for services and picking up families.
- Ensures refreshments are available.
- Assist with visitations and funeral services which may include; chapel set up, cemetery graveside services, delivering items to the family, etc.
- Greets families or other persons entering the office for information and assistance.
- Accommodates the needs of the family during a service and/or visitation.
- May clean facilities and funeral home vehicles as directed by management.
MINIMUM Requirements
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
Experience
- Previous customer service and/or sales experience
Certification/Licenses
- Valid state driver's license with an acceptable driving record required

Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 4 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- On call
- Weekends as needed
