Principle Purpose of Job
The Accounts Payable, Payroll, and Benefits Specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate payroll administration in strict adherence to financial policies and procedures, processing invoices, and efficiently managing vendor accounts at Devil's Thumb Ranch Resort & Spa and associated businesses. This role involves executing day-to-day financial transactions with precision, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data, as well as processing bi-weekly payroll. Additionally, the Specialist is entrusted with maintaining compliance with tax regulations, preparing financial reports, and fostering positive relationships with associates, management and director-level staff for best results.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and timely using Paylocity, maintaining employee tax withholding, direct deposit, and other related payroll data.

Administer the time and attendance system in Paylocity and reconcile required labor and unemployment reports.

Provide support to associates with payroll-related inquiries and needs.

Assist with year-end review and processing of W2s, W2Cs, and 1099’s.

Collaborate with corporate and property teams to ensure payroll compliance and resolve issues.

Establish effective working relationships and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.

Handle direct deposit requests and data, processing paper checks for distribution.

Process and maintain vendor accounts, ensuring accurate entry and coding of invoices, and timely payment to avoid late fees or interest.

Conduct weekly AP check runs and reconcile vendor accounts and statements to resolve discrepancies.

Reconcile balance sheet accounts and intercompany accounts as required.

Work with Controller to create monthly payroll entry.

File annual renewals with the State for company licenses.

Add new hires and execute terminations from active employees.

This position may include other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.

3+ years of experience in accounts payable and/or payroll processing.

Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.

Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite is required.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations pertaining to payroll and accounts payable.

Trustworthiness in handling confidential information and working with minimal supervision.

Available to work a flexible schedule, including some nights, weekends, and holidays.

Ability to lift 20-30 lbs.
Compensation Description:
$75,000-100,000/ yr Competitive pay commensurate with education and experience.
