Position: Director of Congregational Development
Accountable to: Senior Pastor/SPRC
Position Status: Full Time/Exempt

Education and Experience:
● Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Divinity, Social Work, Education, etc preferred).
● Previous experience in congregational care, community outreach, or hospitality roles.
Responsible for:
The Director of Congregational Care is responsible for fostering a sense of community, support, and engagement within the church congregation. This role focusses on outreach, assimilating new members into life groups, forming strategic partnership with the community, and ensuring hospitality and promoting participation in weekly Sunday School Activities
· Key Responsibilities include:
o Outreach – Develop and implement outreach programs to connect with members of the congregation and the wider community. This includes organizing events, visiting newcomers, and maintaining communication channels to engage individuals.
o Assimilation of New Members – Facilitate the integration of new members into the church community by connecting them with appropriate life groups, ministries, and support networks. Provide guidance and support to help newcomers feel welcomed and valued.
o Life Groups/Sunday School Coordination – Collaborate with life group and Sunday School leaders to ensure a welcoming and inclusive environment for all members. Facilitate the formation of new groups as needed and provide resources to support their growth and development.
o Strategic Community/Partnerships – Identify opportunities for the church to partner with community organizations, charities, and other groups to address social needs and make a positive impact. Establish and maintain relations with external stake holders to support mutual goals and initiatives.
o Hospitality – Cultivate a culture of hospitality within the church by greeting visitors, coordinating volunteer teams for events, and creating welcoming environments for all attendees. Ensure that all members feel valued and supported in their spiritual journey.
o Supervision – Provide direct supervision and oversight of Director of Youth, Director of Missions Outreach, Director of Children’s ministries, and Director of Hospitality. This includes weekly 1:1 scheduled supervision meetings with each supervisee.
Additional Responsibilities:
● Attend weekly staff meetings.
● Meet 1:1 weekly with each supervisee.
● Plan and execute monthly program staff meetings.
● Plan and execute quarterly meetings with volunteers.
● Plan and execute quarterly meetings with Life Group and Sunday School leaders.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
