Minimum Requirements:
- Master’s degree from an accredited college in social work or related behavioral field (if the degree is in criminal justice there must be a juvenile justice component).
- Minimum of one (1) year supervisory experience.
- Minimum of three (3) years child-welfare case management experience.
- Must possess professional and expert knowledge of communications, as well as building and maintaining relationships.
- Must be able to travel frequently throughout assigned region, including the local office.
- Strong organizational abilities including planning, delegating, program development and task facilitation.
- Must be able and willing to work some hours outside of normal working hours to respond to emergencies or to otherwise meet the needs of the children/youth we serve and their families.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must possess a valid state Driver’s License, from the state in which you reside, and valid vehicle insurance.
- Must pass a motor vehicle record (MVR), background check and other screening per Company requirements.

Job Qualifications:
This position is responsible for overseeing the small team of Program Coordinators (PC) for the youth family model homes to ensure quality work is provided in a person-centered approach to all children, youth, families, community partners, stakeholders, and Company staff. This position provides supervision, oversight, coaching, and performance management to all direct reports. This position ensures day to day functions are completed in conjunction with the Company’s mission and values. This includes meeting with participants, families, guardian(s), and other key stakeholders to explore opportunities and deliver quality services.

- Actively and effectively utilize MS365 applications on a regular basis and maintain the software infrastructure (SharePoint, Teams, Paycom, etc.) implemented by the Company.
- Review incident reports and provide feedback to direct reports when appropriate.
- Participate in incident review committee, as needed.
- Learn and maintain a basic understanding of Tennessee Family and Child Tracking System (TFACTS).
- Assist with maintaining accuracy and completeness of youth files. Work with company compliance department to ensure client file issues are resolved in a timely manner.
- Supervise up to five (5) program coordinators without an assigned caseload; may only supervise three (3) program coordinators with a caseload.
- Provide on the job training/coaching to new hires and current staff, as needed.
- Provide monthly supervision to direct reports with clearly documented goals, outcomes, and action steps that are measurable.
- Conduct monthly case conference to ensure direct reports continue to meet child, youth, families, and community partners’ needs, requests, expectations, etc.
- Maintain quality assurance through documentation reviews. Provide feedback to direct reports including areas of strength and improvement.
- Monitor documentation in accordance with Department of Children’s Services (DCS) policy.
- Be a support to foster families and communicate any needs timely and efficiently to include attending Child and Family Team Meetings if necessary.
- Be available to direct reports and foster families, as needed, after hours.
- Work in partnership with all community partners; attending any meeting(s), as appropriate.
- Assist with completing annual and biennial reassessments on all approved foster homes before their anniversary date and submitting to Associate Director of Foster Care/FHAS for review/approval if needed.
- Understand the Foster Parent Bill of Rights to be a support and advocate for all approved foster families.
- Completes monthly utilization reviews (URs) with DCS regions, as appropriate.
- Track/monitor medication logs, allowance logs, other foster parent paperwork, appointments, URs, and other areas of case management, as required.
- Review case recordings weekly and monthly summaries and provide appropriate feedback.
- Review treatment plans and safety plans and ensure they are completed by direct reports by required deadlines.
- Perform all PC duties for assigned caseload, if applicable.
- Perform other such duties as assigned by supervisor, or designee, that are within the scope of the position, as well as those reflective of professional experience, education, and ability.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

3. Pressure Factor – May require working under stressful conditions at times and handling emergencies. Working conditions may be noisy with fluctuating indoor temperatures. There will be pressure at times to meet scheduled appointments and deadlines and manage crisis situations. This position will interact with people we serve who are intellectually and developmentally delayed and maybe frail or confused and have the potential for verbal or physical aggression.
