Part Time, 15 Hours/Week, Non-Exempt
Position Summary:
Performs receptionist duties for the Center. Schedules appointments and makes appointment reminder calls for Medication Clinic clients. Greets and checks in all clients for services at the Center. Collects co-payments or any monies due, update records as needed. Delivery of all services is trauma-informed, wellness and recovery oriented, and person-centered in accordance with the Mission, Vision, and Values statement of the Center.
Essential Functions:
- Greets and checks in all clients and visitors and announces to the providers and staff at the appropriate appointment time.
- Schedules appointments for providers and enters this information in the electronic health record.
- Reschedule appointments when providers call out or schedules change.
- Confirm client appointments for next day.
- Calls emergency codes when indicated and Informs security staff of dangerous or emergent situations.
- Answers all telephone lines, screens phone calls and forwards the call to appropriate staff members.
- Attends and participates collaboratively in all Center departmental meetings and educational in-services. Participate in any classes or training that are offered by the County that would enhance performance.
- Checks and updates demographic information in electronic health record when client is here for each appointment.
- Cross-trained in other support staff functions to cover other positions as required.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Essential Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- Excellent telephone manners and skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with clients and visitors.
- Skill in the operation of office equipment, including but not limited to computers, printers, copiers, calculators, and other job specific equipment.
- Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships with colleagues, coworkers, vendors, contractors, and the public.
- Ability to accurately prepare and maintain files, records, reports, and logs.
- Skill in using computer applications including electronic health record, spreadsheets, databases, and word processing software.
- Ability to identify and maintain confidential information.
- Ability to comprehend, express and exchange information in English over the phone, in person, in writing or through other communication or electronic devices.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual Spanish/English
