FreeStand Home Solutions has an exciting opportunity for a talented individual who is seeking part-time work! FreeStand is based in Naperville, IL and specializes in providing temporary, furnished housing for corporations and companies around the world.
This position is an important part of the operation, and the selected candidate will be responsible for visiting homes as scheduled, basic handymen repairs/maintenance, assisting with other general property management related assignments or task, including but not limited to support in setting up new homes or moving furniture at times.
3-5 hours average per day.
2 guaranteed days off per week.
Position Background:
Work Location: Naperville and all surrounding suburbs, including Chicago, Elgin, and Orland Park. Must travel to all locations, when assigned.
$15 daily gas stipend issued.
Personal vehicle must be used.
Company van may be used daily after 30 days or 80 hours of work is logged.
Schedule: 15-25 hours of work, per week. Workday begins at 9:30am.
We are seeking a person who is flexible in their learning of new skills, and enjoys unique and different job responsibilities. Our ideal candidate enjoys the real estate and/or property management space, and has significant handyman experience.
Ultimately, a successful team member should ensure all FHS clients are well supported.
Responsibilities
- Answer maintenance related phone calls.
- Schedule maintenance appointments.
- Write and distribute email, correspondence memos, letters, and forms.
- Provide general support to other contractors, and tenants.
- Act as the point of contact for internal and external clients.
- Liaise with current FHS team members to handle requests and queries from senior leadership.
Skills
- Technology Savy
- Hands-on experience with maintenance and/or repair work.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
- Ability to perform repair task(s), and lift 50 LBS
Time breakdown:
65% - General handyman/repair assignments.
15% - Simple task assignments such as swapping Ring security batteries, or swapping air filters.
10% - Assisting the team setting up a new home, including hanging TV's on a wall, moving and/or loading a truck and putting furniture together.
5% - Miscellaneous support, such as touring a tenant, delivering linens to a storage facility, or performing quality control functions for the company, etc.
5% - Inspecting a property after tenant departure, and getting the home ready for cleaners to enter.

Pay: $30.00 per hour
