The pouches are commonly used for packaging a wide range of products, from snacks to medical devices.
The responsibilities of a Pouch Machine Operator include:
- Machine Setup: Responsible for setting up the pouch-making machine, which involves adjusting parameters like pouch size, material type, and machine speed according to the specific production requirements.
- Material Loading: Load the machine with the appropriate roll of material, ensuring that it is properly fed into the machine and that it does not run out during production.
- Quality Control: Monitor the machine's operation to ensure that the pouches are being produced correctly and are of the desired quality. This includes checking for defects, ensuring proper sealing, and adjusting machine settings as needed.
- Machine Maintenance: Responsible for routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, lubricating, and performing minor repairs on the machine to keep it running smoothly.
- Troubleshooting: In case of machine malfunctions or issues, troubleshoot problems, make adjustments, and, if necessary, call maintenance technicians for more extensive repairs.
- Record Keeping: Maintain production records, including the number of pouches produced, any machine adjustments made, and any quality control issues encountered during the production process.
- Safety: Must adhere to safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment, both for themselves and their coworkers.
