Phlebotomist – Mobile
Vitalant is currently hiring for a Phlebotomist (Donor Care Technician) for our mobile blood drives. Whether you are just starting your career, or new to the blood banking industry, we’re here to help you leverage the extensive phlebotomy training provided, develop your talents, and perform at your best.
What to Expect:
Pay: $17.09 - $18.22 per hour + $5,000 Sign On Bonus
Schedule: Monday - Friday Varied Hours, Occasional Weekend.
Includes 3-8 Overnight stays per month. (Hotel, transportation provided and meals reimbursed) Future Start Dates Date: August 12, 2024 or September 9th, 2024
Your impact as a Mobile Phlebotomist is vital. You will assist Vitalant’s donor care team in creating comfortable, convenient, and consistent blood donation experiences for our donor volunteers, most days you’ll conduct a blood drive around town in one of our buses; other days you’ll interact with donors at one of our local donation centers. As a Mobile Phlebotomist, you’ll get to:
- Be an integral part of saving lives by assisting volunteer donors throughout the blood donation process.
- Work as a team to provide a comfortable set up for each blood drive location (high school, college, community organization, church, etc) and end the day with your team as you pack up for your next location.
- Perform venipuncture. (8-10 weeks of paid training included).
- Receive coaching, encouragement, and support from caring managers who are invested in your career and success.
- Experience growth with opportunities for advancement.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Active driver’s license with a clean driving record -opportunity to drive Vitalant vehicle.
- Ability to travel as required
- Able to lift up to 40 pounds
