The American College of Physicians (ACP) is looking for an Educational Program Coordinator to support the planning and implementation of virtual, in-person, and hybrid learning events. ACP, a national organization of internal medicine physicians with headquarters in Philadelphia, is the largest medical specialty organization and the second-largest physician group in the United States with more than 161,000 members worldwide. This is a hybrid position with two days per week in-office required.
The Educational Program Coordinator provides logistical, technological, and administrative support to the Medical Education division in the delivery of educational programs and courses in virtual, in-person, and hybrid formats. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Collaborating with staff to plan and execute live/hybrid events with an emphasis on logistical support: working in partnership with production technology vendors, shipping materials, on-site set-up and disassembly, coordinating with Conventions staff, etc.

Providing knowledgeable technical support and training to faculty, virtual and in-person learners, and ACP staff on the various platforms used to deliver courses

Organizing complex logistics with course directors and other meeting communications, including scheduling, preparing agendas, taking minutes, and following up on tasks

Handling administrative tasks in support of educational courses such as overseeing vendor contracts, tracking expenses, compiling reports, maintaining databases, trafficking communications, and proofreading educational materials

Working with marketing team to promote courses and attract new audiences
The successful candidate will have:

A bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of project management or event planning experience are required. Strong preference will be given to those with education production experience, especially in medical education.

Excellent computer skills (Office 365 and Adobe Suite) and the ability to learn new programs quickly

Experience with virtual meeting and remote collaboration software (Slack, Docusign, Poll Everywhere/Slido, etc.), including video conferencing tools.

Knowledge of learning management systems and/or hybrid education platforms

Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and customer service skills
