Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service and guidance to guests in selecting wines
- Create and maintain wine lists, ensuring they are up-to-date and reflect the restaurant's offerings
- Assist guests in pairing wines with their meals, taking into consideration their preferences and dietary restrictions
- Stay knowledgeable about the latest trends and developments in the wine industry
- Conduct wine tastings and educational sessions for staff and customers
- Manage inventory, including ordering and stocking wines
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure proper wine storage and handling
- Assist with cashiering duties as needed
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of different types of wines, regions, and vintages
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with guests and staff
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service and create a positive dining experience
- Attention to detail in maintaining accurate wine lists and inventory records
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices
- Experience in bartending or catering is a plus
