Description:
JOB PURPOSE:
Responsible for providing senior Biomedical leadership for multiple Piedmont entities. Will be responsible
for upholding departmental metrics established and maintain regulatory compliance readiness. Will
oversee projects related to clinical equipment and develop the customer service relationship. Will
maintain and manage all communication within the C-suite of multiple hospitals as assigned. Site
managers for each facility will report up to this role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provide overall senior biomed leadership to the teams assigned.
2. Develops goals and mentors staff.
3. Monitors that department and healthcare policies, procedures and standard operating procedures
(SOPs) are being followed.
4. Maintains regulatory compliance readiness.
5. Establishes and maintains the biomedical services customer business relationship.
6. Provide updates and consultative discussions with local senior leadership (C-Suite).
7. Escalates service issues as appropriate.
8. Provide guidance and oversite to projects.
9. Assist with staffing needs among the assigned entities.
10. Acts as a subject matter expert (SME) within the assigned area.
11. Works with Executive Director on monitoring operations budget and assist in preparing annual
budget.

Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Bachelors degree in Biomedical Engineering, Business/Management or related field required.
In lieu of degree, six (6) years of relevant work experience will be accepted in addition to the experience
requirement.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Seven (7) years of work experience in biomedical engineering, technical equipment operations or a
closely related field to include leadership experience.
(If no degree, a total of thirteen (13) years of experience required.)

None.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Healthcare background with a multi-facility environment is preferred.
