Overview:

Responsibilities:
- Perform clinical tasks under the supervision of healthcare professionals, including taking vital signs, administering medications, and assisting with procedures.
- Provide excellent patient service by greeting and preparing patients for their appointments, answering questions, and addressing concerns.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including documenting patient information, medical histories, and test results.
- Assist with medical administrative support tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing phone calls, submitting insurance authorizations and coordinating referrals.
- Prepare examination rooms for patient visits, ensuring cleanliness and availability of necessary supplies.
- Sterilize instruments after procedures.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- Continuously update knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and best practices in order to provide the highest level of care.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in medication administration, coding, vital signs measurement, and patient service.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and basic clinical procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Proficient computer skills for maintaining electronic health records and performing administrative tasks.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and patient needs.
