Behavioral Technician {BT}: Looking for a non-traditional ABA model utilizing community-based employment in Northeast Massachusetts? Northeast Clinical Associates {NECA} staff work at developing meaningful, trusting, interest-based support to children, adolescents, and young adults with autism spectrum disorders and Asperger's syndrome.
Our clinically sound, non-traditional ABA practices are embedded within the Key Connections model. Our staff provide trauma-informed clinical support to children with autism spectrum disorders while building relationships and developing skills during real-life activities.
Job Responsibilities include:
- Providing ABA therapy and individualized supports to children with Autism Spectrum Disorders {ASD} for individuals for the purpose of increasing language, self-help, play, social skills, ADL skills, and decreasing challenging behaviors within the home and community
- Providing person-centered services in homes or the community
- Insuring the health, safety, and well-being of supported individuals
- Implementing creative community-based programs developed with the Team.
- Teaching specific skills and behaviors, in accordance with the goals, objective and strategies identified in their behavioral treatment plan within a supportive therapeutic environment.
- Maintaining respect and confidentiality for all persons
- Maintaining treatment records, taking data, and producing contact notes at each visit
- Completing required paperwork (written contact notes, time sheets, mileage sheets, incident reports) in a timely manner in accordance with agency policies
- Maintaining professional boundaries and complying with agency policies
- Providing for mandated reporting consistent with Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 119, Section 51A-51G
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum high-school degree with one year experience working with children and/or adolescents in ABA or related field.
- Excellent interpersonal, creative problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Valid driver's license and vehicle
- Reliability, ability to maintain confidentiality, and high degree of professionalism.
