POSITION CONCEPT
Currently seeking an ambitious & outgoing individual with a passion for sales and helping others, to join our fast-paced office team. We are a busy, family owned and operated insurance agency that has been in business for over 65 years in Champaign, IL. We have access to a large number of companies to provide various lines of insurance, finding the best options for families, individuals and businesses in Illinois and Indiana. Offering a competitive base salary of $37,000 along with the highest commissions in the area, your earning potential is up to YOU!
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES/EXPERIENCE:
- Sell various types of insurance policies to individuals and businesses
- Develop and maintain a client base through networking, referrals, and cold calling
- Assess clients' insurance needs and provide appropriate coverage options
- Customize insurance programs to suit individual clients' requirements
- Explain policy features, benefits, and exclusions to clients
- Assist clients in filing insurance claims and provide support throughout the claims process
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and changes in insurance policies
- Collaborate with underwriters to negotiate terms and conditions for policies
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, transactions, and policies
- An Ideal candidate will have at least 2 – 3 years of experience in the insurance industry with Property, Casualty & Life Licenses, but we’re willing to train the right unlicensed candidates
- Must have or obtain an insurance license in Property, Casualty & Life within 60 days of hire and be able to pass a background check. Licensing cost will be repaid after 3 months of employment.
SKILLS and ABILITIES:
- Strong sales skills with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as exceptional customer service skills to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Ability to analyze clients' needs and recommend appropriate insurance solutions
- Knowledge of various insurance products, including auto, home, life and commercial insurance
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, with a strong work ethic, self-motivated & reliable.
- Demonstrate proficiency/experience with CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite and other Insurance related software.
- Multilingual abilities are a BIG plus for serving diverse client populations
